Spring Break!

Spring Break is over, and I'm back to the grind with a quiz, a case study, and an exam to take care of. But before I start on any of those, a quick post! (That's a good decision, right?)

I went to San Diego for the later half of the week; it consisted of mostly of sight-seeing, good food, and chilling out and watching movies (I finally got a chance to watch Breakfast at Tiffany's).

Gratuitous beach picture--check out my Assassin's Creed henna tattoo!

We went to a fancy dessert place called Extraordinary Desserts. I wish there were dessert cafes in Phoenix too! :\

I forgot to take pictures of most of the other things I ate on my trip, but this is the prettiest anyway: Fruit Pavlova :)

On a more serious note, we all know about the earthquake and the following sequence of events in Japan that occurred about a week ago. As I mentioned in a previous post, I was accepted to go on a study abroad trip to Hiroshima over the summer. Although the recent events didn't effect my program, I unfortunately had to decline the trip. Actually, my reasons have nothing to do with the earthquake; I just decided that it would be more beneficial for me to think about the long term and get an internship instead. But the earthquake kind of sealed the deal because my parents won't even allow me to go now.

Anyway, the reason I brought this up is because I want to donate to the relief effort in Japan, even if I don't have the ability to give a lot. Japan is always one of the first nations send money to disasters in other countries, and it saddens me that there is no "donor rush" for Japan now that they are the ones who need it. I'd like to donate with a company that will match my donation. Does anybody know of a good place?

Lastly: Since I'm obsessed with Victoria's Secret lately, I wanted to let all my readers know that they will be having a PINK Panty Raid starting Friday, March 25! The deal is 7 for $25... I will definitely be checking it out!

This Spring, Love Your Body!

Haha, the title of this post sounds like a Victoria's Secret ad. I can't say that was completely unintentional though, since I've been loving VS and the VS Angels lately. :)

Spring break is so close I can taste it. I have one last midterm in a couple hours, and then work tomorrow--then I'm completely free! I want to have tons of fun this spring break, and that includes hitting the pool (and hopefully the beach, if the weather in San Diego is agreeable)!

These pictures are unrelated to this entry, but I wanted to show off my rings.

I've never hated my body, but I always felt that I definitely had room for improvement, particularly with my stomach. Big surprise, right? So lately, I've been doing the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. It's a DVD that consists of three 20 minute circuit workouts which increase in difficulty. I like that it's easy to fit in my day because it's only 20 minutes, but at the same time it's definitely not easy. I've been doing it 4-5 times a week for maybe two weeks now, and I'm seeing results! Of course I'm not VS Angel status (if only!), but I'm happy with my progress. I'm going to keep at it until I have awesome abs. ;)

On that note, here's the little black bikini that I bought from Victoria's Secret a month or so ago. Can't wait to rock it next week! What are your plans for spring break?

My version of spring clothes...

Soooo... I'm just going to say that I'm not going to update as much as I did last semester, and leave it at that. I've definitely been busier this semester. Thankfully, spring break is coming up, and I'm going to be visiting Mugdha in San Diego for a couple days! I'm looking forward to a vacation. :)

Anyway, this is just going to be a quick post with some of the clothes I bought recently! (Apologies for the messy hair.)

Dress: Blush Bouquet Dress, Forever 21 (size S)

I never really liked floral. I also don't really think I have the sweet personality that seems to go with floral. But after seeing this picture on Tumblr, I changed my mind... I'll wear it, as long as it's the right color scheme. (Meaning, as long as it's dark! Haha) Hence this dress, which I actually love a lot... the fit is really nice. I can't wait to wear it with my leather jacket!

Top: Ruffle Halter Top, The Limited (size XS)
Skirt: Lace skirt, Pitaya (size M)

The top isn't really a halter so I don't know why they named it that. I actually have the same top in gold that I bought a year ago (also from The Limited--they seem to sell this top almost every season), but I kind of ruined it by running it through the laundry machine when I'm supposed to hand wash it. But I'm quite happy that I was able to repurchase it in pink, and on sale! It was a bit cheaper at the store than it is online, so it only cost me about $12, with my student discount on top of the sale price. And this one is able to go through the laundry machine, apparently. :P

I got the skirt from a boutique by campus called Pitaya. I believe it has multiple locations around the US, and it's surprisingly affordable, considering that I was under the impression that most boutiques are ridiculously overpriced. I almost didn't get it because they didn't have it in small, but I'm glad I tried it on because medium fit the way I would have expected a size small to fit! I think I might wear this outfit when I go out to happy hour with my co-workers on Friday. :)

Dress: Grey Tiered Dress, Pitaya (size S)

This dress is interesting, because it feels like thin suede (it's 92% polyester and 8% spandex). In any case, it's really soft! And I like how it's a dark color but still looks like something I would wear to the beach. Well okay, I don't know, maybe I'm the only person who would wear it to the beach...

Thanks for reading!
